River District Reps Meet with NOCSC

On August 21, Broadmoor Construction's Todd James - a key member of the River District management team - attended a follow-up meeting with the New Orleans Complete Streets Coalition to present information about the project's transportation and mobility plan, public open spaces, discuss feedback and share common goals. 


The River District team is committed to ongoing connection with organizations like BikeEasy and NOCSC, who play an essential role in our city's wellbeing, establishing long-term relationships and clear pathways of communication with the community for the long haul.

This Month at the River District

  • Infrastructure progress continues on schedule.
  • Construction begins next week at the intersection of Henderson St. and Convention Center Blvd. Stay tuned for more details on the implementation of a double-lane shift to allow installation of a new drainage system.
  • The River District team continues work on the first phase of mixed-income multi-family apartments.
  • Office building design and value engineering continue.

The River District team is recruiting Small & Emerging Businesses (SEBs) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for upcoming projects and throughout the duration of the development.


  • 32% of River District Neighborhood Investors (RDNI) are minority- and women-owned businesses.
  • The River District is already working with over 40 SEB/DBE firms
  • The project has already generated over $2 million for SEB/DBE business in New Orleans.
