Infrastructure Work is Underway

Did you know that infrastructure improvements at the River District involve water, sewer, drainage, stormwater, 5G fiber+ and resilient power? 

Construction on critical sewer and water system improvements continued throughout July in partnership with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans.

SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman Visits the River District

ILSI Engineering co-founder Iam C. Tucker and members of the River District team escorted Small Business Administrator (SBA) Administrator Isabel Guzman through the River District site to showcase early infrastructure progress and discuss pathways to the future. Tucker, owner of civil engineering firm ILSI, was recently named SBA's Small Business Person of the Year.

BikeEasy and River District Teams Connect 

River District project manager Todd James and operations manager Alison Hartman met with BikeEasy's Planning and Design Committee in July to discuss plans for biking infrastructure throughout the River District and to connect on mutual goals.

River District Reps Join Complete Streets Coalition Meeting

On July 17th, River District representatives attended the regular meeting of the New Orleans Complete Streets Coalition, an alliance of over 40 member organizations advocating for safe and effective vehicle, bus, bike and pedestrian transit. We look forward to upcoming opportunities to connect on common objectives for the River District neighborhood.

Celebrating World Conservation Day

July 28th marked World Conservation Day. The River District team honors conservation year-round through a partnership with Entergy to develop a smart energy grid. Our focus is on a sustainable, reliable and resilient energy system that can meet the needs of future generations while minimizing environmental impact.
